Tim's Story

Tim is a seasoned performance sport practitioner with over a decade of coaching experience, including three Paralympic cycles.

 

His well-rounded skill set includes a strong commercial understanding developed through his entrepreneurial business ventures. 

 

He is very innovative in his approach and has a passion for true interdisciplinary working.

 

Tim is a skilled communicator and leader with the ability to get real buy-in from the team members he collaborates with.  

2016 - 2022

LEAD STRENGTH + CONDITIONING COACH + PHYSICAL PREPARATION CONSULTANT

​

  • Oversee and manage the strength and conditioning strategy and delivery for all programme athletes. 

  • Developed the British Para-Swimming Physical Literacy Strategy designed to guide athlete development through the performance pathway.

  • Support wider programme initiatives including a culture working group.

Paralympic Games

PARALYMPICSGB CORE SPORTS SCIENCE + MEDICINE TEAM

​

  • Led the planning and delivery of the strength and conditioning facility at the preparation camp in Belo Horizonte.

  • Provided training and support to athletes and coaches across all sports attending the preparation camp. 

PARALYMPICSGB COMPETITION TEAM

​

  • Led the race preparation support for British Para-Swimming athletes across the 10-day competition.

CO-FOUNDER, CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER + HEAD OF PRODUCT INNOVATION

  • Strategic planning and brand development.

  • Developed a unique progressive and systematic framework that simplifies the complexity of calisthenics making it accessible to anyone. 

  • Designed and created an online e-learning system used by over 46,000 users. 

  • Deliver workshops and coach education seminars for the fitness and sports performance industries.

MASTERS OF RESEARCH - EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGY

 

GRADE: Distinction

 

Main research project:

'The effects of far infrared heat and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation stretching on range of movement in athletes with cerebral palsy'.

 

Additional projects:

  • The effects of 28 days beta-alanine supplementation on calcium sensitivity and release in isolated and functional movement performance tests. 

 

  • The effect of a lower-body compression garment on soccer-specific performance and thermoregulation in hot conditions.

CO-FOUNDER, DIRECTOR + HEAD OF STRENGTH + CONDITIONING

VISION: To create a truly athlete-centred and interdisciplinary approach to meet the individual needs of Paralympic athletes.

​

  • Led a team of performance support practitioners (strength and conditioning, physiotherapy, performance nutrition, lifestyle and psychology) to deliver integrated and aligned services in close collaboration with external coaching teams and National Governing Bodies.

  • Supported athletes to win major medals at European, Commonwealth, World Championship and Paralympic Games competitions.

  • Developed a specialism in working with disabled athletes
